He also created the food brand Sharpham Park and at the weekend opened the initial stage at Kilver Court, the former textile mill and once the home of Babycham, which is a brand new designer shopping experience. Topshop and Topman, two leading British clothing retailers, will be opening branches in the Fashion Show Mall, Las Vegas in March. Shopping centres along the Strip had all canvassed the retailers but they have decided to sign up with the Mall. This will mean employment for more than 160 people throughout the 10 year lease period. Established in England in the early 1960’s Topshop concentrates on women’s fashion and accessories. It has branches throughout 20 countries worldwide with its main store on Broadway, New York. An additional store is due to open in Chicago and the Las Vegas branch will be the third in the USA. Anorexia support groups caused an outrage because of a controversial image Topshop had put on their homepage of a model who appeared as a size zero. Topshop has since removed the image. After campaigners for females with eating disorders complained it may cause health problems in adolescents, the fashion store still defended their use of the model’s image. Codie Young’s image appeared on the home page of the store and one mother of an anorexia sufferer said it may make her daughter relapse. The shot was replaced last night by Topshop. The image had the teenager with stick thin arms and waist and had to be changed due to the pressure from charities. Cuisine and couture, two longstanding historic professions of France will be highlighted in a combined show in Paris. In the first of its kind the show will bring together the best of the pastry and fashion houses for this outside sensory exhibition. Renowned chefs, Jean Georges Vongerichten and Jean François Piege together with fashion houses like Christian Dior will show their interpretation of haute couture and haute cuisine coming together. Lady Gaga appears to have her heart set on adding Tumblr to her blogging kingdom. Not content with just Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, Gaga has introduced her own Amen Fashion to the Tumblr blog during the past week. Her blog is named after the bonus track on her new album Black Jesus Amen Fashion and the singer has already received a number of favourable responses. At present the site consists of photographs of the star posing in some of her bizarre outfits.
