Alexander Edwards (22) and Richard Demczak (25) are celebrating a profitable first 6 months of business after their new tailoring company Aptus Suits has exceeded all expectations and become one of this years most talked about bespoke clothing brands.

Believe it or not the idea of Aptus suits began whilst the pair waitered at a prestigious Cotswold conference centre. Whilst working to save up money for university Alex and Richard were so impressed by the quality of garments worn by delegates, politicians, heads of big businesses and even the occasional royal, that the pair set off on a voyage of discovery to see if it was possible to keep the high level of quality, but to reduce the customary price tag? Their answer to this question is Aptus Suits.
Mr Edwards said ‘at Aptus Suits we offer the clients the best of both worlds, high quality bespoke garments but at affordable prices’. Aptus employ a master tailor with over 40 years of experience, and with prices starting at £360 for a bespoke suit it looks like the lads have been true to their word.
Aptus Suits is based in the heart of the Cotswolds, two miles from Chipping Norton, a small market town made famous by its production of tweed. Richard said ‘although the mill is now shut, Aptus believe strongly in sourcing the best materials from around the world. We are particularly passionate about our tweeds and currently source these from a family run mill on Harris’. The pair has tailored shooting suits and tweed jackets for clients across the UK and Europe, and it is an area that the company is quickly becoming well known for.
The lads explained that ‘we are able to achieve such competitive prices by avoiding high running costs. By opting for an office in the Cotswolds rather than London like some of our more lavish competitors and coupling this with using sophisticated technology to stream line our ordering process, we have been able to make significant savings. These savings have then been taken off the price of our suits allowing us to offer real value for money’.
The brand is quickly becoming a firm favourite, not only with celebrities, politicians and business men/women but also with individuals that previously opted for ‘off the shelf suits’, but due to the recession are now looking for better value for money.
Aptus Suits can offer fittings in their Cotswold office, or if preferred will visit clients in their homes or workplace.
