Chloe Sevigny once tore a custom dress made for her by Proenza Schouler by dancing too hard, but since then she has come a long way and opened up her wardrobe for an Opening Ceremony video interview, the company that she is now a designer for. Among the many items that she had on display was the black Schouler gown that she wore to the Council of Fashion Designers of America awards.
Sevigny stated that the dress was super cute and that it was glamorous at the time and she loved the dress, but without thinking she went out clubbing after the awards and tore the dress when she tossed her hands into the air. She added that the design house said they would repair it for her but she is pretty sure that it’s destroyed.
During the interview Chloe also spoke about how much she loves denim with black boots and has hundreds of pairs of jeans since she keeps discovering new styles that she instantly falls in love, with which is why so much of her new collection is made out of denim. In fact, according to the model, the only thing that she loves more than a good pair of jeans is boots.
Chloe explained that it was most likely in high school that she became addicted to black boots because she could not afford to buy a pair of Dr. Martens, so in their place she wore combat boots and three pairs of socks in order to make them fit.
