Shoes may just happen to be one the most important accessory in a woman’s wardrobe. There are those who even dedicate an entire wardrobe to these little insignificant things that take our weight. Think about all the old fable. What would happen to Cinderella if she didn’t have tiny feet that fit into that perfect pair of glass slippers? She might just have had to go back to that life of lighting fires and scrubbing floors. Prince Charming might have just ended up marrying one of her terrible step sisters and would have left her just as quickly. Dorothy might never have got back home if it weren’t for her bejewelled slippers. She would be stuck in Oz forever. And what about the old lady who lived in her shoe? She might think better to invest in proper real estate than in a shoe once she sees this list.
Manolo Blahnik- $14,000
Manolo Blahnik is famous for its high heels and equally high prices. Painful feet go with painful prices. Even despite this, his customers are a like a cult. Bridal shoes are another of his favourites but it is advised not to wear those alligator boots for anything that has anything to do with a wedding. They are great for a bachelorette party though.
Louis Vuitton- $4,500
The first store opened up in 1854 in Paris. It is old world charm mixed with a modern outlook that makes his knee high boots a great hit with the world. The ostrich leather adds to the price.
Chanel- $2,875
The alligator lambskin demure doll pumps from the Cruise 2006 collection with the famous double c logo on them are not just great for the office but also for an afternoon out shopping and lunching.
Ferragomo- $2,390
According to Salvatore Ferragomo, the arch of the heel is the most beautiful and most essential parts of the human body. His super expensive crocodile Avila shoes arefrom his 2006 Spring/Summer Collection. You can save some cash by choosing the ostrich leather variety instead.
Roger Vivier- $2,195
The designs are just as restrained and classy as ever as they were when the first shoe was made in 1967. The shoes may be demure but the prices sure aren’t.
Jimmy Choo- $1,750
Jimmy Choo has always felt that handbags, shoes and other accessories are far more important than having the right dress. Anyone who has spare cash to spend goes to him, not just celebrities. The red pumps that cost a bomb symbolise their modern, sexy approach to footwear.
Louis Vuitton- $1,380
This is the second time his shoes have been featured on this list. It makes it pretty obvious that he sure knows women better than they know themselves. Save these Vienna Flower High Boots for indoor events like a night out at a pub.
Gucci- $1,250
These violet boots have heels that are illegally high. But the mix with the rounded toe really makes them worth it. The gold side zip adds a cool touch to them.
Bottega Veneta- $1,140
The snakeskin makes this shoe the star of your wardrobe. It is from the fall/Winter 2005/06 collection.
Escada- $995
It can be considered a bargain compared to the other shoes. From the Spring/Summer 2006 collection, this is one pretty pair and is maybe even the most interesting shoe on the list.
