Alexander McQueen who earlier this year committed suicide at his home in Mayfair, will be honoured with a posthumous award from the British Fashion Council. The award will be presented as part of the British Fashion Awards ceremony in London. McQueen took his life a short time after the death of his much-loved mother. In the short time that Alexander McQueen was a part of British fashion, he earned his MA in 1992; he was praised as modern and sharp.
