It is a cap that has some lace sewn on. Single strands of hair are then sewn onto the lace for a look that is real. It creates a new hairline on the head and your natural hairline is not visible at all. The new hairline helps it to fit onto the head very easily. What is even better is that it uses real hair and not synthetic stuff. Density of the hair should be taken into account too. Not everyone looks good with thick hair. Some look better with less hair on their head while some look better with fuller hair. There are different levels of density. Light hair has a density of 60%, medium has a density of 100%, and heavy has a density of 150%. The factor of density is not really important to make it look realistic though.
Since single strands of hair are literally sewn onto the cap, it is naturally expensive. But the realistic factor makes it worth investing in it. If you really want the best for your hair, it is definitely worth it. The price of the wig can run into thousands if it is made of high quality materials.
