The fashion world embraced the digital era with open arms during last season’s international fashion weeks with bloggers enjoying seats in the front row and many fashion shows streamed live via major fashion website such as Dolce & Gabbana and Louis Vuitton.
Burberry also took a step further along with Prorsum to install blogging stations at the fashion weeks so that editors could instantly tweet their copy.
However, these advances pale in comparison with London’s upcoming Fashion Week due to the fact that all of the shows that take place at Somerset House from February 19th thru the 24th will be featured online via live streams. Thus, everyone can have a front seat to the largest fashion show to take place in London this year.
Also featured in the live stream will be exclusive film shorts by noted artists Hussein Chalayan, Twenty8Twelve, Boudicca, and Danielle Scutt.
With these continual advances it seems safe to say that the world of fashion is slowly becoming less exclusive and more accessible to those across the world.
