robot 191x300 New highly changeable mannequin means you don’t need to try on clothesA new mannequin born in Estonia is being touted as the saviour to the lack of a real changing room for online clothing sales when shopping at your favourite online retailer. FitBot has been created by the online retailer Fits.me and comes in both male and female bodies.

The different sizes that customers give for measurements will make the FitBot into an exact replica of the body shape of the buyer. There is one drawback and that is how precise will you be with your shape and measurements in order to get that precise looking mannequin. You can also just use predetermined sizes that the mannequin already comes equipped with as well.

Fits.me are the creators of FitBot so they could ensure that their online fitting rooms were customizable 100% to provide their users with less of an approximation of how their clothes may look on them once they had them at home.

FitBot will not operate in real time but instead will take the measurements and try on all the outfits that were preselected by partner retailers so the instant access to detailed pictures will be available without wait.

The mannequin does not have arms or a head so there is still little bit of imagination that goes into looking at the way the clothes sit on the FitBot. There is not indication this will make it to online retailer sites in the UK or not but it would be a godsend for indecisive shoppers if it did.
