No one can predict what’s coming next in computer technology, but in fact Next is first in the fashion industry to bring its own brand-name tablet pc to the public.  The company is known for High Street fashions in clothing and house wares, and now they’re also going to join another type of fashion trend and add Next to the list of names that includes Samsung, Dell and Apple.

The Next tablet sells for £180, and it has a nice chassis and a 10-inch LCD touch screen, plus 2GB of built-in storage and another 8GB on a storage card that comes with the unit.

It is WiFi enabled, uses Google’s Android OS and an ARM processor.  The battery can be expected to last for three hours on one charge, and the device is adaptable to most user needs, via two USB ports and sockets for microphone and headphone.

Though it is lacking in some of the more sophisticated perks like the Apple iPad’s multi-touch screen that allows users to navigate around pages or photos, the Next tablet is right in there with the features most in demand and its creators obviously expect sales to take off, especially with Next’s very competitive pricing.
