62 year old rocker Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones has launched a new clothing line that also features accessories that he claims are electrifying, and are based around his own artwork.
Most of the designs are edgy with guitars and swirling patterns and can be seen on the rails at Liberty.
The prices are a bit high end with a leather bag costing on average about £715, and a shift dress covered in splashes of yellow and orange priced at £495.
The collection was created by Wood with the aid of the Liberty creative director, Tamara Salman. Most of the fashion pieces are inspired by Wood’s previous paintings, which have now come off the canvas and onto to fabric for the first time.
Wood said that it was inspiring to work with a British company that for many years featured the talents of many amazing British artists such as William Morris.
The collection is themed basically from three of Wood’s most iconic pieces including one that is titled I Feel Like Painting. From this painting many shirts were born that are all emblazoned with the title of the piece and bright colors across their fronts.
Salman stated that she was invited by Wood to see his collection at which point she was inspired to turn them a collection of clothing for Liberty of London.
In particular Salman state that his use of color and floral patterns was intriguing and specifically stood out as something that Liberty consumers would enjoy.
