Fraizer Campbell, David Meyler, Nicklas Bendtner, Lee Cattermole, Phil Bardsley, Ahmed Elmohamady and Connor Wickham are all members of the Sunderland squad and they have recently appeared on a catwalk show to raise money for charity. There will also be other guest models involved in the show which includes Tony Jeffries the professional boxer, and Nathaniel Smith who is Mr North East.
Captain of Sunderland is Cattermole and he has commented about the event, “the local community support us as a team and we have a responsibility to recognise that and to give something back to the community that gives us so much. This show is in aid of the SAFC Foundation which we all agree is a fantastic organisation.”
Phil Bardsley also commented about the event, “this is the third year that I’ve been involved in this event and it is always such a great success. It’s something that is very different to our everyday lives and we always hoped that it will be a good show which is fun for everyone to watch. The foundation’s work is essential to our community and supporting it is a matter of pride for us.”
Fenwick are supplying the clothes that will be worn at the catwalk show and make up will be provided by the Armani boutique located in Fenwick. As well as the catwalk show the fundraising evening will involve a three course meal and many other entertainments. The musical performance will also be given by the X factor finalist Ray Quinn.
