In fashion weeks in Paris, Milan, London and New York over the last two months next season’s styles have been on display but the list may get longer with the Home County of Essex wanting to become of the world’s most fashionable destinations. Spring and summer designs were showcased by the reality cast members from The Only Way is Essex turning them into catwalk models for the evening.
Two of the cast members, pop star Jessica Wright and Lydia Bright a burgeoning fashionsita, both took to the runway in Ilford at the Fairlop Waters Golf Club. A string of designs from Chelce Hall swimwear, New Look and others were modeled by Bright who is dating a co-star, James Argent. Bright was unaware she would model until a call this morning from the New Look PR.
Fashions come and go, but in Essex it is safe to say that French manicures, hair extensions and fake tans will always be in style since it was displayed on the catwalk in forms of spray on tan as models sashayed down the runway in skimpy bikinis and shorts.
In the finale a flamboyant cling film dress was worn by Bright and she tweeted that she loved being a model and she had the passion for fashion. Candy Jacobs, the Sugar Hat bar employee who also appears on the show was also on the catwalk. The inaugural Essex Fashion Week last fall was organized by CEO Adam Ryan with help from Lauren Goodger.
The viewers of the first ITV2 series saw her snub her love rival Lucy by not allowing her to take part in the catwalk even though some of the models had worn her Forever Unique designs and added fuel to the fire by asking her ex-boyfriend, Mark Wright, to accompany her walking down the catwalk.
