It’s January, so that means that designers have already come out with their spring line and it is set to hit the racks very soon. While you are getting ready to put together your spring wardrobe there are certain things that you need to look for. Some styles are definitely more popular than others with some interesting trends showing up on catwalks all over the world.
One of those trends, and one of the most popular are metallics and other high shine fabrics. They made an impact during the fall and winter season and will continue to make an impact this spring. The clothes may be shorter and lighter but they will still be the same bright, shimmery appearance that has really taken off so far. Another fashion that has yet to end is the frilly and feminine look that women are certainly going back to. Gone are the boxy tops and manly pants and in are the ruffles, tiers and bows in all different styles from dresses to bikinis. The feminine look even extends to jeans which have gone to a bad girl rocker look as of late. This spring you will still see the rocker chic look but this time it’ll have a bit more lace and femininity to it complete of course with rhinestones and other baubles such as sequins which will be on almost everything to some extent. In fact, you’ll see what they call “surface details” on many other clothes as well. The spring pullover dresses will be dressed up with diamonds, pearls, and every kind of embellishment you can imagine. Even the shoes will be adorned with details that add a little glimmer to your everyday look.
Black is certainly out, as are the hot pinks and bright colours of last year. This year, if you are unsure of what colour to choose, you can’t go wrong with nude or beige. Natural colours are making a huge comeback and you will see a lot of wonderful nude colour clothing come out this spring. What isn’t gone and will be making a comeback for spring are florals which are always popular during the springtime. It is a fresh way to dress that allows you to feel and look your best. Jumpsuits are also coming back in a big way. Although they’ve been slowly making their way back from the 1980′s, they have definitely arrived this spring. Last but not least, you have one of the best colours arriving this spring. You’ve seen it also make its way into fashion slowly but now you’ll definitely notice it. The colour is orange and it will be seen on absolutely everything from shoes to purses and even the jewelry you wear around your neck. It’s hot, hot, hot!
