It is not always an easy task finding Mr Right but once he has been found it should be smooth sailing for many women. Once the date has been set with him, the next problem practically every woman faces is finding the perfect dress. It is almost as important as finding the perfect man since this is what every girl has ever dreamed of since she was a little girl and put on a pillow cover on her head pretending to be a bride. But this article is not about how to find the perfect dress. This is about hel0ping you in not choosing a wedding dress that is not wrong for you. There are a few tips that will stop you from making mistakes that could be very dear.

It has simply got to fit. This may seem very silly to say but there are many women who live in denial about their dress size and try to stuff themselves into dresses that are way too small for them. This goof will be very noticeable in photographs. Ando to top that, you will also be very uncomfortable on what is supposed to be the biggest day of your life.

Style counts. It is not necessary to wear the latest trends on the runway on your wedding day but there are certain trends that you should definitely stay away from. Puffy sleeves or on the other hand, halter dresses should be stayed clear of. The mermaid dress that is tight at the hip but flared out at the bottom too is not flattering on a wedding dress. Try to also not wear a dress that was worn maybe ten years ago.

Consider the setting of your wedding. You do not want to end up feeling chilly on a cold day or not be able to walk on a beach. If it is an outdoor wedding around July- August, you do not want to wear a full sleeved dress. You will be toast. On the other hand a sleeveless dress in December again is not practical. Another thing to remember is to never wear a dress with lots of tulle if it is going t be a wedding outdoors. The tulle attracts insects and other pests and that is not exactly desirable.

You should absolutely be head over heels in love with the dress just like you are with your man. If you have even a bit of doubt about the dress, do not wear it at all. Do not get taken in by what anyone else has to say about what to wear. If you do not like their suggestion, do not take it. It is your big day and you have to feel confident as well as be comfortable in what you wear. Do not try to please your best friend or your mother by wearing a dress that just is isn’t you.

These few pointers should hopefully help you from not being uncomfortable and look terrible on one of the greatest days of your life.
