The West End attracts some of the biggest stars in the world, whether it is on the stage, behind the scenes or even in the audience, and those picking up tickets and heading there will be preparing to see some outrageous costumes depending on the show at hand.

But once they have been down the box office, booked a hotel and even made plans on the sights and sounds of London they wish to visit during their stay there is another dilemma that could be on their mind – what should they wear on their big night in the West End?

Luckily those that are unsure as to the West End dress code are not alone in worrying; a quick query on the nearest internet search engine will return a range of upcoming visitors wondering the same thing.

This is perhaps because they picture people visiting the West End with expensive suits and ties, extravagant dresses and designer shoes, but the truth is that the West End does not have a dress code. So if you want to arrive to “The Phantom of the Opera” at Her Majesty’s Theatre wearing jeans and a t-shirt then this is fine. On the other hand if you want to splash out on a new suit or dress then this will be the perfect opportunity.

The West End has a lot to offer, with many different shows and performers, and this is reflected by the ranges of different people in the audience as well.
